Boat Trolling Motor Batteries

Trolling motors require deep cycle batteries designed for long use and recharging cycles. For trolling motors use, we recommend a battery with AT LEAST a 100 amperage hour rating.

Lithium-iron-phosphate batteries instead of Lead Acid Wet-Cell batteries are the more better option for trolling motors,which can last significantly longer, faster and and more efficient than traditional lead-acid batteries. They typically offer between 3,000 to 6,000 charge cycles, compared to lead-acid batteries just 300-500 cycles,ensuring optimal performance and longevity. This longevity translates to about 10 years of use, compared to 2-3 years for lead-acid batteries. 

Lithium batteries tend to run at a higher voltage for longer durations (14-16V) than Lead-Acid batteries (13V). To determine the run-time of lithium battery 12V100AH, you need to divide its capacity by the power draw of the trolling motor. Run-time = 100Ah / 20A = 5 hours
